Mad Half Hour.Part 3.

Hello Readers,
The past two days have been more than hectic to say the least. Yesterday was extremely interesting. Tom split the class into two groups and gave us different tasks to complete. My group was on photoshoot. We had a photo posted onto the computer, and then we set about altering it. Different sizes, shapes, colours, frames highlighting etc. We then cut off all the rough edges from around the portrait itself, similar to using an eraser on a pencil drawing and picked various backgrounds to set off the picture. I hope later to give you an example.Don't ask how it is done, I cannot remember things like that overnight. At the time all works well, and suddenly it's gone. Like they said in the army "Works well under supervision". It seems such a lot to assimilate in such a short lesson. As I have said on numerous occasions earlier, the main thing is practise and keep practising until perfect.
Today we went over JibJab again as you will already have seen. I'm a sucker for punishment. It is good for a laugh though, and the grand children and great grandchildren will find it highly amusing. We also started making our own greeting cards. Again it seems highly technical, but under supervision it's not too bad. On Thursdays there are only four of us so Tom can spend a little more time on individual training. It definitely helps.
I shall have to get more practise in this weekend if I can, Tomorrow my youngest granddaughter in the U.K. has her 30th Birthday party, so I suppose I can write Saturday off as a lost day. It's time I had a night out though, but if I ask her enough questions while I'm there I can always put it down as training time. Take care readers, Nulli Desperandum Carborundum. Dinosaur Doug.

  1. Hi Dad,

Not too sure if I can right correctly - still have tears running down my face. I haven't laughed that much for a long time. The hat I'm going to have to take off to you is just getting bigger and bigger!

If you're ever looking for a part time job (apart from doing my proof-readings!) then I'll employ you to do some sort of English lessons for me usung these kind of clips. You certainly will have to show me how to do them when we get together sometime, so hold on to your hand-outs and teach your son some new tricks.

Read your other blogs, but will only comment on your newest because the clips really were a cracker! I still find it amazing how you've managed to show off some of us 'younger generation' who thought we were the bee's knees as far as modern-day technology is involved. And then finishing your blog off in Latin! Maybe we'll read on your next blog that you've been studying Latin on the side!! It wouldn't bl**dy surprise me!!

Keep up the good works and show the world what we're all really capable of when we put our mind to it!

Get back to you soon and LOL.
