I know this is only a short while after writing my last blog, but I saw something interesting on the Tele tonight which I think deserves sharing with you all. I watched "Tonight" at 7.30 on ITV. It was about the number of the UK public who have no knowledge, or interest in the use of computers and the internet. I must own up to being one of multitude mentioned. Last year I had no interest in computers, or modern technology, but thanks to the persistent nagging of my number two daughter, I am now one of the growing number of so called "Silver Surfers". I am still finding it hard work, but the interest is still very much alive, and I am slowly improving. If you are interested in the programme you will find it on the internet at . It makes good watching.
Since having my computer sorted out I feel a lot more in touch with the world. I spoke to my daughter in America on Sunday, also my oldest granddaughter on webcam, and saw one of my younger great grandsons for the first time. There is no doubt about it, webcams are a wonderful invention.
Yesterday at school we started delving into voice and speech control of the computer. This is really one of the modern techniques, and my mind boggles at future possibilities in technology. It certainly is a long way from smoke signals and semaphore. That's it for now folks.Goodnight and keep at it. Dinosaurdoug.

Well done Opa keep the hard work going. It's not fair your better on computers than me. Love you loads and loads Diane x
